About Mark PursleyMark Pursley has owned and operated some of Grand Rapids most beloved and iconic restaurants and bars. His ability to achieve that level of success and longevity in the hospitality industry comes directly from his capacity to execute a polished, consistent and enjoyable customer service experience…and that is exactly what Mark is bringing to his real estate clients. Growing up as one of eight children on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, Mark learned at an early age to be industrious and work hard. In a large family you must learn to be a problem solver, an engineer and a proficient negotiator. He uses these skills to buy, renovate, and manage his own rental property portfolio.
Mark is a zealot for seeing a desired outcome through and will go the extra mile to ensure that it does. He is straight to the point, honest and hard-working. Clients speak of Mark as an invaluable asset with an impressive knowledge of the local market, neighborhoods, constructions, negotiation, and detail. His background in construction, intermingled with natural-born talent and intuition, have granted Mark a very refined set of skills. These skills allow him to discern any undeveloped problems or hidden potential that other real estate agents may miss.
Mark is a proud member of the Five Star Real Estate Leaders team and is thrilled to be a part of such a well-respected group of real estate professionals.
Free time for Mark you may find him playing his acoustic guitar, bike riding, or helping neighborhood kids with their projects. He currently lives in Spring Lake, and is a firm believer in giving back to his community. Mark has donated 15+ gallons at Grand Valley Blood Center, participated in the Citizens Advisory Board for the Rapid Transit, was on the advisory board of The Turning Point program (Salvation Army) and has participated in the “Me and My Dad Breakfast” at Pine Ridge Elementary School for 20+ years.
